About The Grooming Girls
I am married with two young boys and I love my family. I attended Nash Academy of Dog grooming in Lexington, Kentucky in 2001. I worked for a corporate salon for a few years and then left to groom for a veterinarian. I have 4 dogs that I treat like my family. Georgia is my boxer whom is my energetic one of the bunch. Amanda is my Weiner Dog whom I have had for 7 years and she is my snuggle buddy and my first dog I have ever owned. I have recently added two new friends to our family, Mrs. Sandy Paws and Mrs. Pattycake, both are basset hounds and I couldn’t be happier to have added them to the family.
I have had a love for animals my entire life and a passion for grooming dogs. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to bring every form of outside life into our home as pets. I knew way back then I was going have some kind of career working with animals. It has always been a dream of mine to open up my own salon and now, with the support of our local community my dreams are finally coming true!
I attended Nash Academy of Dog Grooming in Lexington KY and graduated August 2015. Before attending Nash, I was a surgical assistant for 10 years. When my wife decided to open Grooming Girls, I started assisting her with simple tasks and eventually decided to leave the medical profession for a passion we both shared together. While I am still new to the grooming profession, my years of professional experience in a hospital setting has better prepared me for the skills in taking care of your pets. I am excited for my future at Grooming Girls.

There will be a $30 fee on any returned checks.
All pets scheduled for grooming at the salon are required to be current on their Rabies, Distemper and Kennel Cough Vaccines and the owner must be able to show proof upon request.
We ask that you please make us aware of any skin conditions or health issues your pet may be experiencing. Please let us know at drop off.
We will be happy to give an estimate of what it will cost to have your pet groomed. This is exactly what it is. An estimate. No prices are final until we physically see your dog. Our prices are based upon breed, size, condition of your pet’s coat, temperament and what specific services you are looking for. It is important to remember that when any of these factors change, this can affect the price of the grooming, therefore to keep costs down for our clients, we recommend bringing your pets in on average every 6-8 weeks.
We will make reminder calls the day before your scheduled visit. If you need to change or cancel your appointment please do so within 24 hrs of your scheduled appointment. Repeated no call, no shows, or cancellations will require a 15$ charge for future appointments.
In order to accommodate all of our scheduled clients, we cannot accept pets after their designated drop off time. If you are more than 15 minutes, late we may need to reschedule your appointment. Occasionally we may still be able to accept the pet, however a late arrival fee of $15 will apply.
Please be advised that all pets will be called when ready for pick up. Please do not show up early to pick up your pet unless you have heard from the salon telling you that your pet is ready for pick up. We try as hard as possible to have your pets ready as soon as possible however, sometimes situations arise that are unexpected putting us slightly behind for the day. This is beyond our control and when handling pets, we cannot guarantee every dog will be fast and easy. We do everything possible to get your pets ready as soon as we can, however please expect anywhere from 1-4hrs for your pet to be at the salon. It is our goal to provide the best quality of grooming to each of our clients without feeling rushed. By arriving to the salon before your pet is ready, this can lead to further delay on your pet, and can result in unexpected injury to your pet or to the groomer. If you need a guaranteed pick up time, you must discuss this with the groomer ahead of time, and the express grooming fee will be applied.
Flea and Tick Policy
Our policy is to give a flea and tick bath to all pets that have fleas and/or ticks. If you know your pet has fleas or ticks please tell us as soon as you come into the salon. If we discover the fleas or ticks after you leave, we will attempt to contact you, but will proceed with the flea and tick bath even if we can’t reach you. The additional charge for a flea and tick bath is $5-$10 for dogs and cats.
Leashes, collars, grooming supplies, jewelry and apparel may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase. All merchandise must be in new condition and in original packaging. There are NO returns on treats, food items, or dental products.
